coming to a close

sunday morning in south korea. went to a party on christmas and had a nice time with some of the flickr folks. it was great to be around others, as opposed to sulking at home... i know, sounds really bad, but the holidays are always a bit rough without my mom and brother... and this year, you can add my girlfriend to that list, too... thankfully though, her absence is only temporary. hope the five people who read this page have a great holiday... :)

big sigh

started a new job yesterday and it went really well... much better than i could have hoped for... nice clean school, nice people to work with and be supported by... and interestingly, a degree of respect that i definitely don't need, but is always appreciated... pretty happy it worked out the way it did. i was really worried that i might be getting myself into another shitty situation... you simply never know what to expect with these schools. such a relief.

Born Into This

this will be my last week at the school i've been at since august. it will be sad to say goodbye to a few of the kids... overall though, i'm looking forward to the change.
had a nice weekend amongst friends, wrote a few stories, bought some socks, went on a couple of long walks... seoul is so damn cold these days. winter just started and i'm already over it.

putting the puzzle together

putting the puzzle together, originally uploaded by billy gomez.

december has arrived... it has brought some cold with it, too. i took this image with the photo function on my video camera... it's one of me favorites of all time, too... something about it speaks to me... photography is a gift.

the show closes

today is the last day of the show that's been hanging for the last 5-6 weeks. not sure how many people actually went and saw it but its been really great walking down this street everyday and seeing this sign on the sidewalk. i will be sad to see it go.
